About us
At Engineering & Operations (E&O) you will be a key contributor to the next generation of outstanding luxury BEV vehicles from Volvo Cars. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.
Our group 97720, Inverter CPL & Mech and PCBA, consists of 2 teams and about 20 engineers; we are now looking to reinforce the Mech and PCBA team.

What you will do
As a PCB layout engineer in the Mech and PCBA team, you will be a central part of the development team for power electronics hardware for the Electric Driveline.
You will focus on the PCB Layout design, including communication with our PCBA production partner, to ensure a world class product fulfilling our high quality and safety standards, as well as all performance and attribute requirements.
You will work closely together with our power electronics and control board designers, as well as our system engineers for the requirements. We expect you to work proactively and take responsibility in order achieve built in quality.
This role also includes agile way of working co-operation, within team and with backlog deliverables, related to each program increment (PI), to reach established and agreed team targets and solutions.
You and your skills
You have a university degree within Electrical engineering /Power Electronics/systems engineering/Computer Science/Embedded systems.
Substantial industrial experience in electronics schematic and PCB Layout design applications, preferably from Automotive applications.
Proficiency in High voltage/current layout techniques and design rules requirements.
Solid Knowledge on PCB materials and board stack up per design requirements.
Experience in product development process, working methods and project execution.
You have a high ability and a strong will to continuously learn and develop your skillset in El Drive technology/development.
You are very comfortable to cooperate and communicate with people, both within the organization and with engineering partners.
You are business oriented, flexible and performance driven with the courage to take decisions and be accountable.
You are a team player who likes to collaborate with your colleagues and contribute to a good team spirit.
You take responsibility also outside your own area. You contribute to team competence building.
Experience with Scrum/Agile/Scaled Agile work practices and tools such as Teamcenter, Altium is a merit.
