PCBA Production Test Architect to Axis Communications

We are looking for an experienced engineer to work with Axis production platform in a role that requires long-term planning and the ability to see the big picture!

In this position you will work in the Production Systems Test, a team of 13 dedicated engineers who develop and support tests within a variety of areas such as audio, radar, PCBA etc. They are mainly focused on developing software used in their test systems, but they also take responsibility for how things should be tested, and how the software works together with the hardware. The tests are used in high volume production at Axis factories around the world, and every year millions of products are tested in their systems. Together with other colleagues within electronics and mechanical engineering they develop and support production systems globally.

You will work in a small team of 2-3 people defining the roadmap and the architecture of the tests in Axis Production Platform. You will have a significant impact on the platform and on the future of the production tests used world-wide at Axis factories. You will also be responsible for scouting for modern technologies and tools that can be of relevance for the future production.

Your main duties will be:
• Responsibility for the PCBA production tests' architecture. What methods to use and how to structure the functionality in the platform
• Planning and roadmap
• Supporting product development projects
• Working with continuous improvement of team ways of working, new tools etc.
• Third line support for the production platform

This is a full-time position located at Axis headquarters in Lund. You will work during regular office hours, Monday to Friday.

Din profil
We believe that you have:
• A university/college degree, preferably in computer science, electronics engineering or equivalent. Other M.Sc. educations such as Engineering Physics or Nano Science are also applicable.
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing.
• Experience of test development.

It is a plus if you have experience of one or more of the below:
• Git/Gerrit
• Jira/Confluence
• NI Teststand and LabView
• Experience in PCBA test fixture design

You are an engineer with several years of experience in PCBA development and production. You are a curious, driven team player who likes to learn new things as well as being able to solve complex technical challenges in a team-focused atmosphere. We believe that you have a strong personal drive and get inspired by working in and creating an environment of openness, creativity, trust, commitment, and encouragement. You should have a good ability to transfer knowledge to others. The ability to communicate is fundamental within the project teams and in contact with Axis factories worldwide.
