We are looking for a dedicated production test developer to strengthen our team in Lund! In this role you will use TestStand to develop new tests that will be part of our production test platform, you will focus on electrical tests on PCBA level. Our team supports the entire Axis product portfolio, which makes this job both challenging and varying in terms of the technologies we work with (Audio, Radar, PCBA etc.). Who is your future team?
You will work in the Production Systems Test, a team of 12 dedicated engineers who develop and support tests within a variety of areas such as audio, radar, PCBA etc. We are mainly focused on developing software used in our test systems, but we also take responsibility for how things should be tested, and how the software works together with the hardware. The tests are used in high volume production at our factories around the world, and every year millions of products are tested in our systems.
Our team is part of a larger division of about 120 engineers working with production engineering and technology, and together with our colleagues within electronics and mechanical engineering we develop and support production systems globally.
What will you do here as Production Test Engineer?
Your main responsibility will be to develop new production tests for our plat form on PCBA level and to improve and support existing tests. The tests are used broadly in Axis production facilities and involve both electrical measurements and functional tests using custom production firmware on the test objects. You will have daily interaction with your team, but also with other colleagues at Axis, since the team has a lot of collaborations and dependencies.
Your main responsibilities will be:

Define test methods for testing network products on PCBA level

Gather information and defining test methods

Implement tests using NI TestStand
*
Define required hardware needed to execute our tests (and order this hardware internally)

Quality assurance and documentation of tests developed
*
Support and maintenance of our test portfolio

Strategic planning of future test development, aligning with the needs of future Axis products
Our team is relatively new, and its purpose is to build a stable production test platform that can be used by all Axis products soon. Reliable production tests are very important for Axis, as our volumes and the expectations on our product quality are steadily increasing.
Who are you?
We think you are a hands-on person who is curious, responsible, organized, and methodical. You enjoy problem solving, working with both software and hardware. The ability to communicate is fundamental as the role requires a lot of collaboration with other teams and departments.
You are interested in the field of electronics and have experience within the area, either from education, work, or hobby projects.

University / college degree, preferably within engineering physics / nano / electrical engineering or equivalent

Knowledge and interest in electronics and C# programming

Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing

The position is full time. Travelling is not required, but there may be opportunities to visit our factories around the world!
