Scania’s purpose is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system. The company is undergoing a transformation from a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of end-to-end sustainable transport solutions. We are on the road to a shift towards digitalization, electrification, and automation. Scania operates in over 100 countries around the world, in areas ranging from production of heavy vehicles to optimizing transport and logistical flows. Sustainability is integrated in the Scania purpose, and includes people sustainability.

Scania is part of the TRATON Group, which also consists of MAN, Navistar, VW T&B and RIO.

 

Scania is looking for a People Sustainability Business Developer to continue and improve the strategical cross-functional work in P&C as well as on Scania level.

 

People & Culture & the Team

P&C supports managers and employees to give them optimal prerequisites to achieve success and work as close to the business as possible.

People Strategy & Labour Relations is a team of strategic corporate experts. The area of responsibility contains Global Labour Relations, Labour Law, HR Compliance and People Sustainability including Skill Capture (Scania’s program for D&I) and Social Impact. The work is done mainly through the business P&C organisations.

 

The position

As the People Sustainability Business Developer your main responsibility is to secure and continuously improve, relevant People Sustainability work from the perspective of Scania as an employer.  Example of areas are Human Rights, Social Dialogue/Labour Relations, Skill Capture (Scania’s program for diversity&inclusion), Social Impact and expectations in the area of ESG and non-financial reporting.

 

You will participate in internal forums such as the cross-functional work with People Sustainability on Scania Level as well as external forums. You will have a key role to meet Scania’s stakeholders and experts within the above areas, and translate expectations and best practices into Scania.

You will work closely with Scania’s sustainability team

 

Your main assignments are:


• Together with relevant stakeholders, develop and maintain People Sustainability from a Scania employer perspective
• Contribute in overall Scania and TRATON Group work in the area, and channel this work into relevant functions at P&C
• Monitor and share external developments in the area
• Work closely together with other related functions to secure alignment based on both internal and external expectations.
• Engage in, and develop, relevant external networks, eg Global Deal, ILO, UN Global Compact and War Child

 

Required skills:


• Academic degree or the equivalent knowledge acquired
• Previous experience of work in People Sustainability area on global level, eg human rights, Skill Capture (diversity&inclusion)
• Previous experience from work in People Strategy is a merit
• Understanding of legal demands, ESG etc is also a merit
• Proven project coordination and/or leadership role
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written
• Good ability to work in a consultative and collaborative manner
• Changeability, ie experience of transformation and the ability to work in a complex and changing environment
• Experience in working in a global matrix organisation is a benefit
• Ability to work independently within the framework of the Scania purpose, values and corporate guidelines
