Performance Engineering Manager

25 million customers are using Klarna?s services and more and more people are discovering how easy it is to buying things with Klarna. We are facing an exponential growth and now we are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the Performance, Capacity and Reliability Engineering team. Your mission is to run a program of work to stay ahead of Klarna?s rapid growth and ensure our systems and infrastructure are proven and optimized.

You are coding on a daily basis and have been working close to the team. You have experience of working in a large-scale, high-growth distributed computing environment.

The role will require working cross-functionally to support Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations and Infrastructure groups and you will be reporting to VP of Engineering. You will set the overall vision, roadmap and lead the implementation for testing and optimization of performance, capacity, scalability, stability and reliability for one of the fastest growing business in Europe.

Checklist

Broad experience across performance and load testing system design, tools, monitoring, infrastructure, data management and IT automation
Strong coding, scripting and design ability (Java, Erlang, C, C++, PHP, Python, Ruby or similar)
Experience with relational DBs, NoSQL datastores and caching systems
Experience of implementing performance engineering in a progressive Agile/SOA/Continuous Delivery environment

Bonus skills

Tech start-up environment and technical infrastructure management experience
Experience in environments related to rapid network, systems and data growth
Experience with AWS, Hadoop, Zookeeper, HBase, Riak, and Rabbit MQ
