Scania is aiming to be the leader in the shift towards a sustainable transport system with battery electric vehicles as the main tool to enable decarbonised transport solutions with better transport economy for our customers. The battery system is a central part for the development of competitive products that can fulfil customer demands on range, charging time, lifetime, reliability etc. including being sustainable from an environmental, climate and social perspective.

 

The team UBCE is responsible for performance, properties, safety, requirement balancing and legal requirements of the battery system all the way to the customer. As a performance group leader you have an important part of the responsibility for the battery performance and, in the end, the customer experience of the battery in the vehicle. Key responsibilities:

 


• Be a part of the product owner team at UBCE
• Lead the battery performance group and collaborate with developers within performance related cross-functions
• Continuously report the status of the performance groups work to the department and assist the product owner and project with trade-offs and requirement balancing
• Own and develop the way of working within the performance group
• Responsible for managing, developing and reporting performance milestones
• Work close together with the product owner in several tasks such as, create and refine the performance specification
• Prioritize test demands and review test and simulation results
• Have an overall view of performance related testing and simulation
• Be an interface between test verification engineers and test engineers
• Implement way of working with software related tasks in the performance group and follow up when for example calibration parameters and/or functions affect the hardware and the reverse situation

 

Your profile:


• A passionate and curious engineer with an interest in new technology and knowledge within battery technology
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Organized and good analytic skills
• Works towards goals and focuses on results in priorities, planning and action
• Earlier experience of performance group work is a merit
