The Construction Department is in charge of all wind farm projects from start to completion. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once a contract has been signed and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. This includes the standard installation, commissioning and final handover of the wind farms to our customers.
Additionally, the construction department is even responsible for more complex EPC projects. Working closely together with the customer, suppliers and other stakeholders is a key parameter to ensure to keep the project on budget and schedule as well as that our extensive safety and quality standards are met. It also works closely with the sales and legal departments to ensure each wind farm delivers the highest energy yield within the client's specification
Responsibilities:
As Construction Performance Manager you will be fully responsible for securing a stable and predictable cost forecasting in the project portfolio, and you will be a valuable sparring partner for Construction Execution Management for all cost related topics during execution. You will also participate and potentially direct execution steering meeting in alignment with Construction Execution Management and liaise with Finance Business Process Management (Finance BPM) to align on reporting and to get a common understanding about deviations.
Further, your responsibility will include:
Benchmark with best-in-class cost forecasting to develop/implement processes and tools
Evaluate the implemented cost out initiatives and track performance and develop measures to reach the goal
Participate in budget workshops initiated by Cost Management in Construction Sales Support; secure that all best practices are shared, and expected deviation is implemented into the sales precalculations (precalc)
Be fully responsible for the Pre - PostCalculations deviation reporting for the Project Portfolio
Define, propel and develop periodically trainings within Construction Project Management to ensure cost awareness and best in class cost forecasting
Qualifications:
We see the ideal candidate to have a relevant university degree in economics, business administration or related subjects, or an engineering background combined with commercial experience. Further, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
Solid experience from a similar position in an international environment
Experienced in working with complex construction projects is a big plus
Good commercial understanding and business insight
A strategic mindset, yet structured with good inquisitive skills
Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing
