Performance Simulation Engineer

Would you like to lead the development of world class powertrains? AVL Scandinavia Powertrain Engineering has approx 190 employees based in Gothenburg, Södertälje and Haninge. We are currently looking for experienced Performance Simulation Engineers. The work tasks will be to support powertrain development projects with numerical simulation analysis in collaboration with experts in the global AVL team and our successful customers.

Your Responsibilities:
Independently deliver high quality simulation and analysis results
Recommend suitable analysis, based on the problem condition
Review presentations and data for compliance with good engineering principles and customer requirements
Prepare and present quality results to internal and external customers
Write detailed technical reports to document analysis work
Support our customers in their development projects of powertrains and vehicles

Your Profile:
Performance simulation engineer with experience from powertrain and vehicle simulation with any of the following skills; diesel and gasoline engine performance simulation, turbo charger matching, fuel consumption prediction and optimisation, emission prediction and optimization, aftertreatment simulation or complete powertrain system simulations
Experience in AVL Boost and/or GT-Suite (GT-Power) is a requirement
Experience of product development projects and understanding of the role of thermodynamic simulations as an engineering tool in the development process
Very good social and communication skills and service minded
Ambitious, accurate, methodical, creative and positive minded team player
Eager to learn and guide your co-workers within your specialty
Masters degree in Engineering (Engineering Physics or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
Fluent Swedish and English (both spoken and written), German is a merit
Genuine interest and knowledge of engines, transmissions and vehicles
