Dept.of Forest Genetics and Plant Physiology in Umeå 1 PhD student in the research education subject: Biology Regulation of auxin metabolism in Arabidopsis thaliana The project studies the role of light and other external factors on biosynthesis and metabolism of the plant hormone auxin, with focus on the developmental role of this important plant hormone in the model species Arabidopsis thaliana.The project is mainly focused on cell and molecular biology methodology, but the project also involves the use of different analytical techniques, such as mass spectrometry.Qualifications: You need a degree in plant physiology or the equivalent.Experience in molecular biology is an advantage.Forms for funding or employment: Employment as a PhD student << back SLU is an Equal Opportunity Employer.A person has basic eligibility for third level education if he or she has taken a second level qualification or has completed course requirements of at least 240 higher education credits, including at least 60 higher education credits at second level.Those who met the requirements for general eligibility before July 1st, 2007, i.e.had completed a programme of higher education for at least 120 credits or the equivalent, will continue to do so until the end of 2015."
