Position description
The announcement regards a PhD position to work on a project that is described below. The position is for 4 years. The project is funded by FORTE. Salary is applied according to the third-cycle student’s salary scale (doktorandstegen).
Description of the project:
Evidence-based interventions (EBI) are often evaluated in terms of their effect on clinical outcomes. Yet, its value for patients and society is also influenced by other things, such as the interventions appropriateness, equity and costs-effectiveness when it is used in practice. Inspired by studies on decision making, the objective of this project is to explore and test how practitioners appraise the value of achieving a certain outcome and how this influences decisions related to the so-called “fidelity and adaptation dilemma”, i.e. the conflict between the need to ensure that EBI is implemented as it was designed vs the need to adapt it to the context where it is implemented. The project will include an explorative phase using focus group and individual interviews, and an experiment.
The selected candidate is expected to formulate a research plan within the frame of the project.
The recruitment is followed by an admission process. The decision of admission is not made until an individual study plan has been approved.
