PhD Student Position in Parameterizations of cloud ice microphysics in climate models

The Satellite Atmospheric Science group at Kiruna Space Campus is looking for a new PhD student.The goal of the PhD project is to investigate the impact of different parameterizations of cloud ice microphysics on climate predictions.

To apply, you must have a good or excellent Master or equivalent degree.You should also have traceable experience in atmospheric science, as well as a good background in physics and mathematics.Preferably, you should have experience in the development and/or utilization of state of the art climate models or in the parameterization of physical processes in climate models.Furthermore, you should have good English skills and good computer skills, including programming experience.Swedish skills will be considered an additional bonus.You should be capable of independent, original, and creative research work, but at the same time be a good team player.
