PhD Student position in Computational Electromag

Arbetsbeskrivning

Work description:
In today's automotive systems, the increasing power levels, switching speeds, and integration densities are challenging the design for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). In order to cope with this, new numerical simulation approaches become necessary and are applied in the early stages of a design cycle. Luleå University of Technology is working with the development of EMC design methodologies and methods suitable for automotive computational electromagnetic analysis. This development is conducted in close cooperation with several international research institutes and universities. Volvo Construction Equipment is one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction equipment and is investigating different EM modeling and simulation methods. In this project, Volvo CE and LTU work together on developing new methods supporting the rapid development of automotive electronics and power technologies.
The position will be located at Luleå University of Technology, LTU.
