PhD Student position in Computer Aided Design, Simulation of Hardware System Availability, 1375-10

Coupled Process and Product Modeling for Increased Availability

The aim for this project is to develop new methods and tools for simulation driven design pertaining to hardware system availability.


You will work with coupling simulation of support systems with simulation of hardware product performance to increase product availability.The main focus will be on hardware availability.Your research will contribute to new methodologies for how the partner companies may use simulations in their product development processes.
Qualifications

The applicant shall hold a Master of Science degree (Swedish: Civilingenjör) in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering.Due to required participation in the divisions teaching activities, applicants with previous experience from team based product development courses are preferred.Previous training in Computer Aided Design (CAD) as well as training and practical experience concerning hydraulics is preferable.The applicant should be well versed in Swedish as well as the English language.
