PhD Student position in Wood Composites

The Division of Manufacturing and Design of Wood and Bionanocomposies at Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, Sweden, has a PhD student position available for research on processing of wood thermoplastic composites. The research area is described below.

Wood Composites
In this project we wish to further expand our successful work in the areas of process and material development of novel wood composites. The research conducted here will be a mix of experimental and theoretical work. This project will be done in collaboration with industries, so you will also work with Skellefteå Kraft as well as Extena.

We seek a PhD student with a Masters degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Wood Technology or equivalent, preferably with a experience in processing of wood polymer composites. Experience in the areas of polymer composites processing technologies such as compounding and profile extrusion and different characterization methods are merits. You should be a good team player and have an ability to take initiative.
