PhD-student position in Wood composites

The Division of Manufacturing and Design of Wood and Bionanocomposites at Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå, Sweden, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Fiber and Particle Technology at University of Oulu in Finland has a position available for a PhD student for development of wood composites.

Our aim is to expand our successful work in the area process and material development of wood polymer composites.

This is a collaboration project between Luleå University of Technology and University of Oulu and you are expected to spend time in the both institutes, the development of wood fibers and particles will be done at Oulu and the composite processing as well as the evaluation will be carried out at LTU in Skellefteå.

We seek PhD candidates with a Master degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Processing Engineering (or an equivalent degree), preferably with a knowledge of wood composites, polymer technology, surface chemistry or polymer processing technology.Speaking Finnish and Swedish languages is an advantage.You should be a good team player and have an ability to take initiative.
