PhD student/Post Doc in Food Science with special focus on development of biomarkers of whole grain A position for 3-5 years as PhD student/Post Doc in Food Science with special focus on development of biomarkers of whole grain intake and the health effects of whole grain is vacant at the Department Food Science, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala (Ref.No 3703/07).The Danish Cancer Society, Copenhagen will be the coordinating center of the 6 Nordic co-operating partners http://www.nordforsk.org/text.cfm?id=388 Job description The tasks will include: development of methods for analysis of biomarkers in food and biological samples.use of these biomarkers in intervention and biobank studies.dissemination of results within HELGA, in other scientific settings as well as towards the public Close collaboration forming a virtual centre of joint objectives between the 6 Nordic complementary research groups will involve some travel activity between the centers. Qualification requirements The candidate should be qualified in laboratory based methods in food science and nutrition, data handling and statistical analysis.Experience in different types of chromatography is a necessity.Additionally, the candidate must be motivated for collaboration, appreciate team work, and wish to become part of a very dynamic research team.Priority is given to a person with experience in research about biomarkers of whole grain.Applicants from all the Nordic countries are encouraged to apply.Application We welcome your application, marked with the ref no 3703/07.The application should be written in English.
