Satellite navigation band interference investigation (1 position) Ref no 552-06
This project will involve looking at the underlying radio frequency (RF) spectrum proposed for the Galileo satellite navigation system.There are multiple frequency bands proposed for this signals and this effort is to build two instruments to collect data within those bands and assess the level of radio frequency interference expected within those bands.The first instrument will be built around a spectrum analyzer and notebook PC running Labview and the second will be based on a GPS front end ASIC.The candidate should have a strong background in satellite navigation (GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo), be competent in using RF test and measurement equipment, be experienced in using Matlab, Linux, and C.

Position requirements: Suitable background for the positions is a M.Sc.degree in Electrical Engineering or Space engineering or Mechanical engineering or Physics and depending on the project a good knowledge in microelectronics or in electromagnetic modeling, numeric, and/or programming.
