Arbetsbeskrivning
Oatly was founded back in the 1990s and is based on Swedish research from Lund University. The company’s patented enzyme technology copies nature’s own process and turns fiber-rich oats into nutritional liquid food that is perfectly designed for humans. Today, the Swedish company remains independent and dedicated to upgrading the lives of individuals and the general wellbeing of the planet through a lineup of original oat products. THE OATLY WAY Oatly is a company built on the idea of change. Our mission is to help people upgrade their everyday lives and the health of the planet by making sustainable, great-tasting, oat-based food products accessible to a wider audience in a world-class manner. It's why we come to work every day. And because health and sustainability are so close to our heart, we are more than just another food company - we are a lifestyle company. Our growth is fast - and accelerating. More and more people choose to switch to a plant-based diet for the sake of their health and the planet. With headquarters in Malmö and production in Sweden, Netherlands and the US, our products are available in almost 30 countries across Europe, North America and Asia. The innovation support team is part of the global Food Innovation team, with access to an innovation lab and a pilot plant in Landskrona in Sweden.

THE ROLE
This is a chance to build and lead a world-class Innovation pilot plant and lab organization for technology and product development on EMEA level. Your work will have direct impact on the future product portfolio of one of the world’s most innovative and sustainable companies, and you will be part of bringing forward new ways of getting there too. A humble but result-hungry culture and speedy growth will make it an interesting and rewarding journey.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are looking for a Pilot Plant and food lab manager to build, own and lead our verification and validation approach for technologies and products. You will need to develop and grow your team, the support capability and the facilities simultaneously. Today, we have 4 full-time employees, a pilot plant, a food lab and a test kitchen in Landskrona; tomorrow we will have twice the lab space, a new improved pilot plant and new, additional lab facilities in the Malmö office. You and the team will implement new improved ways of working, such as new verification and validation standards and test methods, including analytical chemistry methods. You will keep a holistic mindset and always be one step ahead with new ideas on how to improve and how to provide the development projects with what they need to deliver the best results. An important part of your mission is to recruit and onboard a specialist in sensory methods and an analytical chemist. You will also be in lead of the rebuilding and extension of our verification and validation facilities: laboratories, pilot plant, test kitchen and other workplaces. You will be a key player together with an amazing team and your mission will be to support the Innovation organization in the best way possible, to make us faster and more efficient and ensure that our products are always world class.

You are a team player experienced working in development projects and motivated by both finding solutions and executing projects, with a good diplomatic sense and a service-minded approach. You are skilled in engaging others in your work, and you love to share best practices.
To be happy and succeed in this role, we hope to see you check the following boxes:
