PIM - tester for assignment in Norway

Technogarden Telecom is a independent consultancy firm that provides resources within the field of telecom. Now, we are looking for a PIM Tester/troubleshooter for an assignment in Norway for one of our main clients.

The gig?

The PIM Tester/ troubleshooter drives the Telecom Installations process in the Project by performing PIM test on-site, supporting & coaching the ASP, coordinating and troubleshooting all activities on customer sites.

The PIM Tester/ troubleshooter applies to the installation of various kinds of Ericsson equipment from simple configuration to complete system solutions.

The PIM Tester/ troubleshooter is responsible for, but not limited to:

- Performing the PIM test
- Detect PIM sources (what generate the wave reflection)
- Training and coach the ASP
- Control rectification of installation defects.
- Coordinate and drive Technical support for the ASP.
- Escalate problems to Project Management team.
- Provide with recommendation
- Execute PIM measurements on-site, by making measurements on the feeder, multifiber cables, coaxial cables, jumper, connecttos and antennas

- how PIM values change manipulating the etilt
- source of PIM
- Investigate and define the origin and/or the source of PIM
- prepare and deliver a final PIM report showing which tool has been used, pictures with value measured, how PIM values change manipulating the etilt, source of PIM


Qualification

The following competence is required for the gig:

- Required to have OHS Certification (Working at height, electrical Ability and 1st AID).
- Safety regulations knowledge.
- Willingness to climb tall structures for antenna products.
- Ericsson and customer standards and procedures.
- Technical Knowledge in the tools: BIM tester, Site Master, TEMS…etc.
- Antenna & feeder installation.
- Technical knowledge in Ericsson baseband and antenna systems.
- Technical knowledge in Power systems.
- Sub-contractor management
- Good communication skills
- Good understanding of site specification & inspection procedure
- Excellent Computer skills and SW application
