Piping Design Coordinator

We are looking for the right candidate for an assignment at one of our important customers.

Required education background and professional experience

- Education in Mechanical Engineering; MSc. or similar

- At least 7 years of piping design work

- Experience and understanding of a complete piping project with its phases and interfaces

- Well oriented in pipe fittings and piping

- Delivered complete detailed pipe design

- Experienced collaboration between detail design and installation/manufacturing

- Understanding of quality and final documentation

- Experience and understanding of work in a 3D plant tool.

- Good knowledge in common norms and standards applicable for process and mechanical engineering and design, specifically PED.

- Experience from Nuclear piping or Oil & Gas design work is preferable.

Scope of the assignment

The candidate shall work in collaboration with a project in the customer organization.

The assignment requires cooperation with other divisions as well

The candidate will be involved in the coordination of the design activities together with the Design Lead Engineer, contractors and designers.

The candidate will participate to coordination and integration meetings.

Communicate technically with suppliers of components/ manufacturing/ installation.

The main task is to identify and capture needs, related to Piping design in current projects. Coordinate and drive detailed technical solutions. This is with the aim of relieving project management and making it more efficient for the E3D designers.

In order to excel in this position you have to be problem solving oriented in a pragmatic was while having great intergity and complying with established procedures and regulations.
