Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Planning & Logistics Specialist to join our excellent and passionate team. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start, building the first European lithium ion battery giga-factory, Northvolt Ett. Northvolt will play a significant role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
The Planning & Logistics Specialist's primary focus will be on co-ordinating and supporting the process of transportation and installation of the heavy manufacturing and construction equipment from the port or warehouse, to the factory site or all the way into its final position inside one of the production halls.
Planning & Logistics Specialist will take a central role, connecting the functions of transportation, warehousing, heavy lifting, construction and engineering.

In broad terms, Team Logistics is responsible for everything that moves. Our mission is to support Northvolt’s growth and expansion with logistical expertise and to create a robust logistical framework, within which Northvolt units can operate.
You:
Generally speaking, you have a reasonable degree of experience within logistical operations, preferably in a construction site setting. You have the ability to operate in teams including internal and external stakeholders to execute tasks in a well planned and co-ordinated manner. You understand the importance of communication, as means to ensure clarity and reach common goals within specific time frames.
In close co-operation with Northvolt Central Project Logistics Team, you will:
Plan, co-ordinate and execute activities between different internal and external resources to ensure that individual logistical assignments are carried at the right time and with the right quality,
Ensure that necessary resources (e.g heavy lifters) and appropriate equipment are at the site at the right place, when required,
Partake in developing and enhancing operational procedures, follow these and make sure that regulatory and safety requirements are considered and met,
Participate in structured and unstructured communication to ensure clarity around next steps and ultimate goals. Follow-up these with stakeholders and against timelines,
Continuously improve overall site logistical operations



Skills & Requirements
You are or you have:
Strong time management capabilities with the ability to maintain workflow while switching quickly between tasks,
Excellent oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English with the ability to prepare and deliver concise understandable information to co-workers, contractors and other stakeholders. Other languages are definitely a plus (Baltic, Russian, Polish),
Ideally, experience from logistical co-ordination roles on a construction site,
Problem-solving, entrepreneurial attitude thriving in a dynamic environment where no day is like the other (we mean it!),
Proactive and goes beyond expectations,
Self-motivated and finding it easy to establish new relationships
Reasonable IT literacy, predominantly within Microsoft Office,
Worked in multi-cultural environment,
Driver’s licence.

Project Logistics Site Coordinator is a vital member of the Logistics Team and wider Supply Chain Organisation and key to Northvolt's mission to enable the future of energy.
You also appreciate the importance of adequate packaging to ensure safety and sound condition of the product in transit, as well as at the warehouse. Ideally you had the opportunity to work with and have good understanding on how to use different systems and modules (ERP/WMS/TMS) to support logistical planning and execution.
