Planning Manager - Medical Device
About the position

We are currently recruiting for a Planning Manager with people leadership responsibilities to a trusted service provider, supporting many of the world’s leading brands, companies and governments with Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification services.
Your focus would be on the medical device industry.

The Planning Manager has direct leadership of six (6) direct reports plus one line manager with (8) direct reports. The management responsibilities include scheduling, allocation of work, delivery of conformity assessment activities, onboarding, development support of employees and their competencies.
The Planning Manager holds ownership for development and implementation of the organisation’s processes and policies related to technical and operations planning. This includes ensuring compliancy and successful passing of audits and inspections.
The Planning Manager is also responsible for the organisation’s sales reporting processes, ensuring accurate reporting of sales opportunities and team responsiveness to new client requests of Medical related services, as well as making sure that client contractual agreements are in place.
The role is full time, remotely based in Sweden, Denmark or the UK.
Responsibilities
• Support onboarding of all planning employees
• Manage planning personnel and processes to ensure a compliant process throughout the organisation
• Schedule and allocate work to all Operations teams, as required, with a minimum of three months in advance, monitor completion and ensure billable employees are fully utilized
• Ensure adequate resources within planning, to comply with relevant conformity assessments activities
• Financial reporting, including forecasts, utilization data and ad hoc reporting
• Collect and prepare data to be able to fulfil finance related KPIs
• Ensure timely and accurate billing and cash collections, as per current price list
• Manage financial disputes
• Ensure that all services delivered are within the designated scope
• Achieve KPI objectives for all technical and operations planning processes
Your profile
To be successful in the role, we anticipate that you bring the following qualifications and competencies:
• University or technical college degree in relevant studies, such as medicine, pharmacy, engineering, or other relevant sciences or experiences in related activities in the field of healthcare products, manufacturing and/or auditing
• Experience in Management on a global or multi-site scale
• Experience in working towards revenue targets, having a business mindset that shows interest and understand how the organisation can further grow together with client needs
• Background knowledge of the EU Medical Device Directive (MDD) and the new Medical Device Regulation (MDR)
• A people-oriented mind to enable team members to grow in competence
• An eye for detail
• Focus on delivering results within agreed time frames
• The highest degree of professional integrity and ethical operation
• A customer positioned mindset to enable delivery of customer-centric services
