To be successful in this role, we believe you have:
• minimum 5 years working with home furnishing and retail design solution development and extended knowledge about how to contribute to quality requirements/standards in the planning process
• Knowledge of the Retail Establishment Process
• Experience in home furnishing the IKEA way (living situations, style groups, store communication, furnishing with light)
• Knowledge how to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation and throughout the layout
• An understanding of the trends that influence home furnishing, retail design, and communication
• Insight into customers' living situations in different areas around the world and customer shopping and buying behavior in a multichannel retail landscape
• Methods for optimization of commercial square meters, and for presenting the range using store media and store layout as commercial tools
• Preferred knowledge of Revit
Responsibilities:
As a Planning Specialist you will secure that deliverables for new Customer Meeting Points are documented and ready to be used for implementation in market organizations based on set requirements. ​Proactively work with developing working process and competence to support efficient quality assurance. You will secure planning of CMPs that present the range in a vital, inspiring way fitting the many's needs and enabling access to the whole range in the multichannel retail world of IKEA.
More specifically, you will:
Contribute setting quality requirements/standards
Secure efficient way of working, for securing quality checks throughout the planning process​
Closely collaborate with superusers, functional leaders and overview planners to improve and implement learnings from projects delivered.​
Coach and support planning specialist during planning and secure feedback and learnings from projects are shared.​
Coach quality team in projects (planning specialist) performing quality checks.​
Conduct final quality review of detailed drawings before handover with focus on carpentry, electrics, measurements
Secure actions are taken based on learnings to continuously improve and simplify process.​
Secure deliverables are documented and ready to be used for implementation in market organizations based on set requirements.​
Together with Planning team leader secure timely quality checks based on overall project timeline.​
Proactively transfer of knowhow to planning specialist.​
Constantly communicate status and progress with a clear focus on Low cost expansion.
