About the role
If you want to be a part of a dynamic team, involving securing the supply network for our evolving and growing company this is the time for your next career move! We are now looking for a Plant Buyer for CAPEX & Indirect.
Galderma is growing and you will have the opportunity to be a part of a business development journey. In this role, you will be in touch with different areas of the company and have the opportunity to observe the business from a broad view. This is a key role in our business, and you will be a gatekeeper of compliance and purchasing processes together with the Head of Procurement.
Your responsibilities would include:
* Create, structure and re-enforce the plant's indirect purchasing policy and processes
* Support internal customers with purchasing guidelines
* Influence and participate in the identification of needs for the main expense items
* Develop and main an upstream knowledge of suppliers' markets, identify and anticipate the associated risks and opportunities
* Responsible for the operational aspect of the larger folders/projects, and determine and ensure the implementation of the multi-annual improvement plans approved
* Directly responsible for the management of the most critical and strategic purchasing portfolios
* Develop a benchmark market knowledge with the other entities of the group, keep up to date with ongoing initiatives, contribute to these initiatives and ensure that the plant benefits
* Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers
* Optimize expenses, processes, and costs
* Participate in the development of the budget, and consolidate and follow up on budget
About you:
To be successful in the role, you have a university degree or equivalent experience. You have several years of experience in purchasing and/or sourcing. It is required that you have knowledge of manufacturing and quality requirements, and it is considered an advantage within the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry. It is an advantage if you have experience from negotiations with suppliers.
As a person, you are motivated to initiate and drive improvements. You have great communication and collaboration skills, as you will be a key contact person for both internal customers and suppliers for the purchasing categories. Ultimately, you have a strong sense of accountability and compliance.
Fluency in Swedish and English is required (written and spoken).
