About the role
We are looking for a Plant Manager to our Brännland Plant, right outside of Umeå, to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. The Plant Manager is responsible to oversee the overall operations of the plant, and will work with developing processes that maximize safety, quality, and productivity.

The Brännland plant has today about 160 employees and 10 different leadership roles, among others Operations manager will report directly to you. The Plant manager role reports in a matrix organization to CEO of Ålö AB and to Head of Operations, Europe.

In the role you will be responsible for establishing a strategic change plan and ensuring a buy-in to the vision and goals among staff which is characterized by everyone's commitment to continuous improvement.

You provide business leadership and demonstrate commitment to plant goals on a day-to-day basis. You ensure effective interchange of information between all work groups and create an environment where all employees are encouraged and developed to reach the full potential in meeting the plant goals.

To succeed in the role, you have a clear focus on performance culture to assure that performance is met at the lowest cost and highest quality.

The position is until further notice and is located at our Brännland plant, right outside of Umeå. Start date is as soon as possible.

Experience
You have a University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or affiliated field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable leadership role and experience in a cross-functional multinational matrix structure. You have a documented ability to implement strategic change programs in a larger international organization. To be successful in this role it is important to have a good understanding, knowledge, and experience of world-class manufacturing / Operational Excellence. Since we operate globally it is important to have very good English and Swedish skills.

You also have experience in:

- driving manufacturing excellence programs (LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma, 5S)
- the further development of automated production processes
- modern IT systems and digitalization
- negotiations and collaboration with the trade unions
