AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
As Plant Manager and head of the operations team you will lead the production activities at the plant, ensuring that the operations meet customer demand, while complying with our strict QA/QC standards as well as HSE requirements.
In addition, you will be involved in initial preparations for scaling up the process and planning and realizing the first industrial scale production facility.

GENERAL TASKS:
- Plan, manage, organize and supervise all aspects of the Pilot manufacturing operations.
- Actively manage and further develop LayerOne's QA/QC system.
- Further develop and actively lead LayerOne's efforts in HSE, including conducting risk assessments and audits to ensure safe operations.
- Lead a systematic, continuous improvement of operations, process, product quality and cost efficiency.
- Manage and further build the Operations Team
- Support LayerOne's efforts related to scaling up the process and planning and realizing the first industrial scale production facility.
- Ensure the operations meet customer demand.

IDEAL CANDIDATE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in Chemical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field is preferred
- 5+ years' industrial experience including hands-on supervision of chemical manufacturing operations and production teams
- Experience from chemical process design and engineering will be of value
- Hands-on experience with systematic QA/QC and HSE work and systems (ex. EcoOnline software)
- Hands-on experience from managing operative teams on the shopfloor
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to solve challenges and manage multiple tasks
- Experience with working with strong acid/base is preferred
- Language skills: fluent in one Scandinavian language and English is required (oral and written)
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement is a must.
- You are an EU/EFTA citizen, or you have a valid work permit in Norway
