Plant Purchasing Manager

FläktGroup Sweden with approximately 750 employees, have production and development in Jönköping and Järna and 16 sales offices from the north to the south of Sweden. We are now recruiting a high calibre Purchasing Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager in Jönköping. The Purchasing Manager will play a key role in supporting the business growth and cost management, supporting the strategic plan of the business through selecting and negotiation with key suppliers. The Purchasing Manager will lead the development of the purchasing function locally and identify, manage, and deliver on quality assurance, lead time reduction and the material savings plan for FläktGroup Jönköping.

As part of the savings, the Purchasing Manager will lead the local implementation of the global purchasing strategies for the portfolio of parts and commodities such as Steel, Heat Exchangers, Sheet metal work, Fans, and transports. You will work close together with our global Commodity Buyers, inform, and support them regarding our local market. You will also be connecting new suppliers to the site and take part in new product introduction projects.

You will lead a team of three strategic buyers and be a part of the local management team. Some foreign travelling will be required.

Who are you?

The person we are looking for is strongly goal oriented and curious, with the ability to lead and motivate your team. This position will be a perfect match if you are a senior strategic buyer, passionate about leadership and eager to take the next step in your career. You have a suitable degree, preferable in engineering, together with experience of strategic sourcing in a global context.

You also have great negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management together with a deep understanding of contracts and legal aspects of terms and conditions. Moreover, you pay attention to details, you are analytical and appreciate problem solving. You are fluent in English and proficient in Swedish.
