Plastic Category Buyer

About the position:
As our new Plastic Category Buyer you will be part of our category core team with the overall purpose to improve the plastic supplier base and performance.

You will be responsible for our plastic raw material and prototype suppliers and as such drive supplier development and KPI performance covering quality, delivery performance, sustainability and cost development. The role includes driving commercial negotiations and agreement settlements with suppliers in alignment with our category purchasing and in collaboration with Category Manager. You will work closely with our Global Product Development Organization on new product development projects to secure alignment on the selection of new plastic raw materials. You will both feed and challenge the development projects with new technology- & material innovation opportunities from our supplier base. You will furthermore be responsible for securing a proper plastic tool maintenance in cooperation  with our plastic suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The position is placed in Hillerstorp and you will be reporting to our Global Category Manager, Plastic Lasse Andersson.


Your profile:

To be successful in this role you have experience and proven success from operational and/or tactical sourcing in an international environment. Our ideal candidate for this position is a self-motivated and results oriented person with strong negotiating and decision making skills. Your ability to easily communicate and cooperate t as well as analyzing data are other appreciated ingredients in your personal profile. We expect you to have an academic degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration and would prefer if you have a good supplier market knowledge within the plastic industry as well as a good technical understanding of plastic materials and production processes.
