Solution Area Business & Operations Support Systems (SA BOS) is built to provide a leading portfolio with an outstanding customer experience by aligning architecture, products, services, roadmaps, and commercial structure. SA BOS Technology Evolution is designing and maintaining the product and solution direction architecture, secure alignment with respect to main standardization bodies and drive the overall Technology Strategy and Technology Leadership within the Solution Area BOS portfolio.


What you will do
We are looking for a BSS/OSS System Deployment Architect with focus on leading the Ericsson offerings into a highly automated, cloud native and cost-efficient portfolio to deploy, maintain and expend for our customers and for our internal work. As a key member in our multinational team, you will work with our colleges in R&D, product management, strategy, and sales to secure the most competitive and streamlined portfolio with an evolution to meet the future business requirements and market windows. You will also be leading competence management on technology platform and deployment strategy within SA BOS.

The core role of the BOS Technology Evolution Team is to ensure a leading Ericsson BSS portfolio from a technology and architecture perspective. We support Ericsson SA BOS fulfilling market expectations, being smart and simple to run in our customers’ business and IT environment by:


Thought Leadership in BSS/OSS

We Show Thought Leadership and Vision in the business areas and product domains of Business & Operations Support Systems


Technology Strategy & Leadership

Leading Solution Area BOS to improve value in new areas of architecture and technology, inline with BCSS and Ericsson Technology Strategy, innovating in Technology Leadership project to incubate new strategic areas


Architecture Governance

We make technology decisions to secure an optimized, streamlined portfolio with an architecture evolution to meet the future business requirements and market needs
We are a small team distributed to and co-located with the main BOS Sites in India, Canada, Sweden and Germany, Hungary and Ireland.


You will bring
Bachelor Degree is preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related fields
experience with Systems Administration in a *nix environment
more than 5 years of experience from s/w development using modern ci/cd tools with languages such as Python, Golang or Java
Certifications in relevant software development/site reliability engineering with relevant experience



Skills:
Experience designing and implementing orchestration and automation
Experience with modern performance monitoring and diagnostics tools (examples: AppD, Dynatrace, WireShark, etc.)
Be a technical expertise across multiple technology areas and the ability to diagnose issues throughout many technologies.
Analytical, investigation, and organization skills
Communications including being able to craft content for executive level presentations.
IT background and ability to understand technical content.



To be successful in the role you must have
Familiar with industry standards such as ETSI, 3GPP, Open stack, CNCF, ONF, ODL, OCP and others
Working with Open Source - OpenStack, OPNFV, OpenShift, ONAP, Cloudify, etc.
participated and supplied evidence towards Innovation/Proof of Concept/Patents/Hackathon
Delivered Large Customer projects.
Hands on working experience in Kubernetes deployments, Docker and Helm charts
Proficiency in Linux OS, shell scripting, Ansible/Puppet scripting
An excellent Inter-personal skills along with communication skills in written and spoken English
