Join us in Aftermarket Technology. We develop technology and services for an industry going through a profound transformation, and we want to invite you to shape the future of the service market with us. Our mission is to develop prognostics and health management solutions for vehicle maintenance and uptime. At the Technology and Services Development group, you will be part of a highly-skilled and cross-functional team working with prognostics engineering, data science, and IT solutions. As a Platform Architect, you will lead the construction of solutions to take us from the sensor data to customer value. We work in a dynamic, global, and agile environment. You will be placed in the heart of the engineering community and strongly linked to IT and the aftermarket business. We develop solutions architected for reuse in the different Truck Brands in the Volvo Group with quick time to market.
Main activities and responsibilities
Responsible for architecting solutions for vehicle health prognosis, including preventive, predictive, and prescriptive maintenance;
Build and continuously improve a Machine Learning pipeline, and MLOps;
Optimize functionality, performance, and quality by understanding the product and solution landscape and related data flows;
Take the lead in activities to develop new products and enhance existing services for the aftermarket;
To support engineers and developers with the expertise;
Develop platform roadmaps through a structured interaction with end customers, dealer representatives, and stakeholders;
Investigate and recommend technically feasible solutions to ensure a sustainable platform over time.
Personal profile
You are an architect passionate about vehicles, IT technology, and business solutions. You will be challenged beyond the IT technology and will drive use cases and from vehicle data up to the customer value.

You are a team player working in an agile team with various roles, all contributing to the team objectives. We work in a global organization, and most of our activities require cross-site and cross-organization collaboration.
Qualifications
You have a University degree in engineering, computer science, system development, or equivalent experience within the technical area.
Experience in cloud architecture, preferably in IoT projects.
You have a hands-on approach to IT Architecture. Able to code and support others in the conception and development of Proof of Concepts in early phases.
Primary preferred developer skills: Java, Javascript, Python, API, Cloud services, and integrations (MQ).
It's a merit if you have experience in IT system deliveries and have worked with PDM, PLM, CAD data, and Al and AR.
