Platform Architect

About you 

We are looking for a positive team player who is passionate about creating value in an omnichannel environment. You will have a minimum of 10 years in a development/solution architect background and have worked with integrations in cloud and hybrid environments for at least 5 years. 

We believe that you have a strong interest for people's life at home with a dynamic personality who adapts well in a multicultural environment. You get energy from working with agile methodology and you are enthusiastic about digital products and the value they can bring. Furthermore, you are someone who has a strong drive, an excellent networker and passionate about delivering solutions to improve customer value. 

To be successful in this role, you should have relevant knowledge and experience working with SaaS, PaaS, standard and proprietary platforms/solutions along with various technology platforms.

Retail Operation Solutions & Support (ROSS) is an integral part of Core Business Franchise and consists of a team of people with passion for retail and competence in business and technology. We are moving into a new chapter with an ambition to provide IKEA retailers with a set of digital products and services that are integrated into IKEA value chain and supporting the omnichannel IKEA Concept. We call this the Retail Package and it covers key capabilities for retail operations.

About the role  

As a Platform Architect you will be responsible for supporting the development of the technology architecture design needed for product/platform, software engineering and deployment along with creating & refining technology architecture designs and patterns to support the capability areas (and product/platform teams) as they design, build and deploy features & solutions. 
 

You will help drive implementation of the technology architecture roadmap according to plan, minimising technical debt and maintaining a close feedback loop. We are looking for you to ensure that technology architecture designs and patterns account for non-functional requirements such as reliability, scalability, performance and resilience. 

 
Collaboration is key, you will work closely together with other technical architects and cross functional teams to maintain and update technology design specifications. 
 

Moreover, you will lead, coach and develop members of the product and platform teams promoting best practice in technical architecture and continually benchmarking against industry standards
