Platform Architect - Aftermarket Service & Parts

Here at SPAE Product Development you will be part of a team working with service & parts information for both Volvo Technology and Volvo Group. As Platform Architect, you are part of an agile team with the mission to develop new products to better support both internal and external users. We see rapid development of new technologies and we need to step up to utilize the opportunities the new technologies bring.
We work in a dynamic, global and agile environment and you will need to network globally within Volvo Technology engineering community and the different Truck Brands in Volvo Group, to meet the demands out in the field for our end users.


Main activities and responsibilities
Responsible for driving evolution of Service and Parts Product Portfolio to ensure maximized value to end customer
Strive for optimized functionality, performance and quality by understanding product/solution landscape and related information/data flows
Take lead in activities to develop new products and enhance existing services for the aftermarket
To support engineers and developers with expertise to develop technical solutions
Develop and maintain Product and Platform roadmaps through structured interaction with end customers, dealer representatives and stakeholders
Investigate and recommend technically feasible solutions to ensure a sustainable platform over time

You have strong presentation skills and are able to communicate in a pedagogic and clear manner, suited for the intended audience. You like to explain complex technical matters to others by the means of text and illustration or other media.
You enjoy developing user friendly solutions in a technically complex context.
You are a team player working in an agile team with a mix of roles, all contributing to the team objectives. We work in a global organization and the majority of our activities require cross-site and cross-organization collaboration.


Qualifications
You have a University degree in engineering, computer science, system development or equivalent experience within the technical area.
We see it as an advantage if you have domain knowledge within automotive and preferably aftermarket information area.
You have hands on experience of IT Architecture, software development and creation of Proof of Concepts in early phases.
Main preferred developer skills: Java, Javascript, Python, API, Cloud services and integrations (MQ).
It´s a merit if you have experience from IT system deliveries and have been working with PDM, PLM, CAD data and/or AI and AR.
