Platform Architect for shared cloud platform

Do you want to work with new cloud technology and are ready for a key role as a Platform Architect? We are looking for an experienced architect to our new shared application platform, based on Microsoft Azure.

We are just putting our new application platform in production and are looking for a Platform Architect that will be overall responsible for the platform technical design and setting the framework for the applications that will run on the platform.

As a Platform Architect at H&M you will get the opportunity to work with several other architects and team members to ensure the functionality and design of the platform, short term and over time. You will be responsible for setting the target domain design and that the application design guidelines work in collaboration with business requirements and application architecture versus domain/platform architecture.

To excel in this role we see that you are an experienced architect and actively cooperate with the platform requirement analyst in the process to propose best practices for the domain. Being thorough and to have a shared platform mindset is crucial when we design a platform that will be shared by several applications and compromises needs to be made. We maintain a high pace, which requires structure, an ability to prioritize and work together.

Your responsibilities

The job of an H&M Platform Architect comes with lots of responsibility - and lots of fun. Your to do-list includes:
- Ownership of the platform and architecture from a technical perspective
- Create the architectural design guidelines for the applications running on the platform
- Ensure the platform long term architecture and prevent possible situations where application requirements contradict the platform design
- Be an active part in setting the way of working regarding applications and platform
- Close cooperation with infra/operation on a personal and technical level to ensure that the Azure platform is working as expected and cost efficient
- Participate in priority meetings, sprint planning and prioritization
- Maintaining a good communication with offshore roles
- Participate in recruitment of new architects and other technical roles

Your skills

- Minimum 4 year of similar architect role and work tasks
- At least 2 year working with Azure or other cloud solutions
- Architect education, courses or certification
- Great communication skills
- Prior practical experience working with offshore resources
- Experience of manage teams
- Experience of agile work methodology
- Understanding of a modern version control system, example GIT
- Fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written

It's an advantage if you have previous leadership skills or experience of application development on Azure or other cloud platforms.
