Platform Engineer

The growing Voi Technology team is making the morning commute exponentially more enjoyable. That's why we have created networks of electrically-powered scooters throughout densely populated urban areas. And that's where you could show your skills!

And more specifically we are looking for a new platform engineer to join our infrastructure platform team whose ambition is to build the next-generation infrastructure platform at Voi.

The infrastructure platform team’s mission is enabling engineers to build features and services frictionlessly by providing best in class platform and tooling.

The position

- Build the next generation Infrastructure Platform for all Voi engineers
- Create tooling that improves developer experience on the Platform
- Automate processes within Infrastructure Operations, Security configuration and monitoring, Cloud Identity Access Management
- Drive new ideas and initiatives regarding Platform vision
- Work closely with other dev teams to understand common needs


Nice to have, but not required

- Professional experience as a platform engineer with a focus on automation
- Experience in cloud based infrastructure (GCP or equivalent) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (we use Terraform)
- Experience in setting up CI/CD tools (we use Argo CD and GitLab CI)
- Familiar with Logging, Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure (we use Grafana, Prometheus, Stackdriver)
- Experience building and managing serverless applications
- Experience with Security as Code and security automation tools/checks is a big plus
- Programming experience using Cloud SDKs/APIs (we use golang)


What you’ll bring to the team

- Some years of experience working with software development in a lightweight agile setting
- Learn new things and grow your skills (it's ok if some of this is new to you!). We don't expect anyone to know everything but we do expect everyone to share and help grow those around them
- Interest in understanding users real needs and pain points
