Job Description
As a Platform Engineer you will be responsible for building automated deployment and developing environments, develop infrastructure to support cloud-based applications, manage performance bottlenecks, and continuously improve the security and resilience of our platform. While promoting the DevOps philosophy, you create continuous delivery pipelines. You are responsible for leading important platform related tasks and initiatives, as well as possessing capability to make breakthroughs in design, development, testing, debugging, and implementing software applications or specialized utility programs in support of end users' needs on platforms. You plan and coordinate regular updates, recommend improvements to existing applications, and identify and resolve issues which have organization wide and long-term impact.
Responsibilities:
Focus on security by design and management of data with an awareness of existing regulations
Collaborate with developers to guide and help troubleshoot, with development teams to understand and implement their continuous integration and testing teams to support testing capability
Apply industry best practice and coach others to do the same, while being committed to continuous improvement of the software development profession
Ensure continuity of business operations with a focus on execution excellence, through the CI stack and by reducing manual tasks
Design, implement, and deliver scalable and performant systems. Projects typically involve equal parts engineering and operations, for success in our fast-moving environment. You will be expected to do both for projects small and large, working with a mix of open-source and proprietary tools.
Responsible for conception and implementation of new automation from CI/CD pipelines to production metrics to other automation for the platform infrastructure that your team owns.
Capacity management and benchmark optimization. Our demand for scale and performance is constant and involves challenging optimization problems for workloads critical to research and trading.



Qualifications
Strong ability to work proficiently with Cloud computing and develop Cloud solutions
Strong ability to continuously improve processes to optimize operating costs, task efficiency and effectiveness in production, services, and processes
Excellent at automating key business processes and increase business productivity through the utilization of coding and technology
Capable in ensuring compliance to legislative and regulatory requirements
Knowledgeable in the creation and configuration of CI/CD pipelines
Strong ability to apply Continuous integration in developing projects
Ability to troubleshoot code. Have a structured, logical, and problem-solving methodology in finding sources to errors in software applications
Proficient in working with organizing data and database management
Ability to proficiently operate and execute tasks in line with project roadmaps and organizational goals
Strategic and holistic mindset
Constantly learning new things and helping others perform through team development
Capable in generating innovative software development ideas and insights
