As a Platform Engineer, you'll design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure, including data systems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our platform is optimized for reliability, availability, and performance. What you'll do
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-availability infrastructure for applications and services.
Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes.
Implement best practices for system reliability, including fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure new features and services are reliable and scalable.
Work with data platform engineers to enable data collection, processing, access, usability, and monitoring.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact production.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
Continuously improve systems and processes for better reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
Mentor team members and promote a culture of reliability and data excellence.

What you'll bring
Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role in a production environment.
Strong proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS (preferably), Azure, or GCP.
Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
Expertise in modern database technologies, including NoSQL (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cassandra) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
Knowledge of data storage, database design, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Understanding of data security concepts, differential privacy, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
