Platform Engineer – (Telia Finance)

Do you want to work in a forward-thinking Platform team and help move Telia Finance towards AWS? Then this could be the role for you! As a Platform engineer at Telia Finance you are part of a core team that plans, maintains and runs the central infrastructure for our development teams.

My name is Erik Björk, and I have just started my job as Head of IT in Telia Finance. I will launch a new organizational setup in January 2022, where one of the new key functions will be the Platform team.
In this role you will support our teams with incident management, server capacity, security and certificate handling. You will help drive our transformation to SaaS-based Public Cloud solutions and you will get the opportunity to create the frameworks for our DevOps work moving forward. We will also implement 24/7 availability for some of our systems during 2022.
With our platform team we want to achieve comprehensive common platforms, components and servers to be used by all our teams. Right now, we are using Linux and Windows, but we are on our way towards AWS. Do you want to join us on this exciting journey? Keep on reading!
The role includes but is not limited to:
Load balancing, security and service monitoring
Administration of services, users and rights management
Database handling
Automating all the things!

We believe that you have experience with:
Infrastructure as code (IaC)
Public cloud like, preferably AWS
Linux or Windows
Microservices
Certificate management
CI/CD tools such as: Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo
Centralised logging tools such as: Splunk, Elk

Experience with mySQL, Jira, SAFe, and GitHub Actions are considered a plus!
We believe that you are
To really feel at home in this role we believe that you have about five years of experience working in a Platform team or similar team working with Infra. Also, experience of working with Public Cloud Infra is within your comfort zone. We also see that you are a communicative person who likes to coach others and who curiously investigate new upcoming opportunities for making the Platforms even more efficient.
