Platform Manager for our location in Stockholm, Sweden.
Purpose of the role
The Platform Manager is responsible for aligning the product development program with the key market requirements (such as: RAMS, costs, performance, functional requirements, adherence to standards, obsolescence handling, etc) and by this for defining the OCS950 (Object Control System) platform roadmap from the ground up. The Platform Manager is responsible to align these requirements with the applications such as interlocking teams, TCC and RATP teams. The Platform Manager drives product convergence and building block standardization in cooperation with sister Technology Center. The Platform Manager is leading the platform team consisting of product owners, program managers, system architects and system integrators, as well as managing the internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Define High Level Requirements and R&D roadmap (propose budget for the platform; define and align the OCS950 platform development plan; compile product roadmap and product strategy narratives and inform about the product development program at the PRBs and CPRs).
• Drive operational performance management and be responsible for the operational performance of the OCS950 platform.
• Lead and govern all activities in the platform management team (people management; program governance; program reporting).
• Internal/ External stakeholder management (align with regional bid teams, project teams, and application regarding roadmap; align with operations regarding production and obsolescence matters; align with strategic sourcing regarding product costs).
• Responsible for team deliveries on QTC (quality, time and cost).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience or specialized/ cross-functional knowledge required in a similar role (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role).
• Experienced in embedded systems, preferably signaling systems.
• Proficient in managing low level Hardware and Software; and Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of safety relevant embedded system required.
• Experience in leading in a matrix organization needed.
• Very good communication and presentation skills.
• International working experience required.
• Experience in operating in a complex environment.
• Flexibility and international travel to a medium degree required.
• English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, good written and spoken Swedish would be a plus.
