Our customer has a large production environment based on both Windows and Linux servers. The environment holds many technologies to achieve stability and flexibility, this includes SAN Storage, VMware based Virtualization and the latest of applications for monitoring and capacity planning. The Role We are looking for a System administrator to work mainly with windows based systems. You will start off with an introduction to get knowledge of the processes and the systems used to host applications for our different business areas. In the beginning you will work with problem solving and regular daily maintenance of systems which will let you develop a comprehensive knowledge of the infrastructure, systems and problem areas. After 3 months you will get your own projects where you work proactively to change the environment and prevent future incidents. Our work is mainly based on ITIL and you will work close to the different process owners as well as the development team and service desk. Main responsibilities: *Daily maintenance of servers, firewalls and infrastructure *Handling problems escalated from service desk * Lead projects to proactively ensure a high availability infrastructure * Document infrastructure and develop processes for daily maintenance * Act as support for service desk handling 1:st line support * Act as team member in the development of new functionality Your Profile * 3 years experience in working in a support or maintenance organization with focus on infrastructure, servers and firewalls * Good knowledge of Windows server and related products * Good knowledge of TCP/IP, internet and the usage of different protocols * It s an advantage if you have knowledge of SQL Server * It s an advantage of you have knowledge of Linux * It's a merit of you have previous experience in project management * It s a merit if you have programming or script development skills * You have excellent English and presentation skills
