Delivery Manager – PLM Core for Volvo Construction Equipment and Volvo Automated Solution
Join us on our transformation journey to the digital future!
At Volvo Group Digital & IT, we have a clear ambition to enable value creation at scale for the Volvo Group. With product centric and digital technologies, we will produce digital offerings that are profitable, scalable and differentiated. You will be part of a global and diverse team with highly skilled professionals, who learn continuously and embrace change to stay ahead. We have a very important role to play in reaching the Volvo Group ambitions for 2030. Do you want to be part of our transformation journey towards digitization? The time is now!
This will be us - your colleagues within Technology
Technology is a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. We will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products, but at the same time also perform – keeping services and capabilities up and running to ensure business deliveries exceed competitors.
We collaborate, both within Volvo Group IT and with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We want to encourage an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions.
How will you make a difference?
In your role, you add value by developing high performing teams and build great collaboration with the stakeholders & partners in your deliveries. In addition, you are driving the change management necessary to reach the transformation goals.
As leader for PLM (Product Lifecycle Mgmnt) Core team a normal week can look like this:
You will lead a team located in different sites and countries (Europe, Asia and US) – both direct reports as well as other colleagues. Your main success factor lies in your ability to communicate and to work in a structured way in order to reach your set goals. Your leadership style is defined by empowering others and you aim to create an autonomous work environment within your team – in a true agile way.
Your days start with a management meeting with your closest management team. Here you share your priorities of the week and tactical movements to reach the number 1 PLM Team in Volvo. Before lunch you have a couple of performance touchpoints with team members to understand their desires and needs to support them in your best way to reach their full potential and work life balance. This is your highest priority area as team awesomeness is not a happening, it is a lifestyle.
This week you’ll also meet with the business stakeholders to go through the latest roadmap with update and align priorities, product team capacity and needed partners alignment to secure smooth, high value and quality deliveries to Volvo CE and Volvo Autonomous Solutions. You’ll also connect with our infra partner HCL to review new requests and discuss the short-term activities.
Before closing the week you’ll have a meeting with some of the team members to align on the topic, secure the host and presenter for the next Thursday’s Learn&Share which is our teams way to #LearnToStayAhead.
