Job Summary
The PLM Specialist will manage Piab's global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions (Teamcenter) across all functions. This role involves leading system administration, development activities, change management, and integration. The PLM Specialist will be the primary point of contact for PLM-related issues, access requests, training, and business workflow needs.
Role Description:
Platform Ownership
Serve as the Platform Owner for all PLM processes across divisions.
Collect requirements for PLM platforms from divisional users.
Collaborate with divisional engineers to innovate and improve current processes.
Consolidate and address bugs and enhancement requests to stabilize PLM applications.
Develop a roadmap for new PLM platform functionalities.
Prioritize IT activities to maximize value, considering bugs, enhancements, and new features.
Ensure total cost of ownership (TCO) is calculated and maintained for PLM.
Engage with industry peers to learn best practices and improvements in PLM processes.
Identify interactions between PLM and other business processes for end-to-end mapping.
Oversee PLM Business Architecture in alignment with Piab's Enterprise Architecture.
Specify required integrations for PLM end-to-end processes.
Stay informed on new PLM platform features and enhancements.
Maintain documentation for custom extensions, configurations, and testing.
Manage the PLM-related budget, license strategy, and divisional cost allocation.
Change Management
Create and specify work packages for vendors.
Test new functionalities and features.
Stay updated on platform functionalities.
Maintain a roadmap for future needs.
Establish processes for Release & Configuration management, testing, and QA.
For Projects
Coordinate and drive project development and the development team.
Lead project planning, solution design, and development activities.
Configure Teamcenter.
Conduct user training.
Lead stakeholder testing.
User Management
Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes.
Handle license management and future needs.
Administration
Create system documentation materials.
Administer classification trees.
Collaborate with IT to set up and maintain system integrations.
Maintain and update system configurations.
Act as the Administrator for all PLM Applications, ensuring security, compliance, and performance.
Hands-On Approach
Adopt a hands-on and cross-functional approach, focusing on delivering business value through technology solutions in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of PLM processes and systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in managing and prioritizing IT activities.
Experience in developing and maintaining system documentation.
Strong project management skills.
Thorough knowledge of Teamcenter BOM, Change Management, and Data Management.
Experience with Teamcenter integration with ERP systems, CAD tools, and CPQ platforms.
Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team player with a social and collaborative approach.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of industry best practices in PLM.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
5-8 years of experience with Teamcenter, CAD, and PDM integrations.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a B2B organization.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project-related tools.
