At Sandvik Coromant, we’re driven by a passion for excellence in everything we do. Our belief is that sustainable success is a team effort and with our profound knowledge of metal cutting and insight into the varying challenges of different industries, we strive to develop innovative solutions in collaboration with our customers - to meet both current and future demands.
To advance our strategic business planning, and prepare for a strong future, we need to define, develop and implement sustainable, cross-functional transformations through change programs and initiatives. By actively coordinating efforts and utilizing shared resources, we’re aiming to manage agreed transformations with a clear connection to the Sandvik Coromant Strategy. For a key role in developing our Supply organization further, and with the opportunity to influence and to be the driving force in our change process, we’re now looking for a PMO Director – someone who’s ready to add value by bringing both business understanding and hands on experience to the table!
Your mission
As PMO Director, you’re part of the Supply Management team and you directly support our Vice President of Supply in defining, developing and implementing change programs and business transformations. You act to align the Sandvik Coromant Supply programs and projects with the overall division strategy - ensuring execution of the strategy plan and change initiatives by providing support, coordination and performance management of business transformations and projects throughout all entities of the Sandvik Coromant production. A big part of this is making sure that we have the resources and capabilities needed for successful deliveries. You develop standardized ways of working and introduce modern tools and techniques across the programs, and you ensure that risks and exceptions of deliverables are identified and appropriately addressed.
By managing an active network of change and transformation programs, you keep stakeholders updated and informed on the progress of various activities. To generate commitment and synergies, you also actively promote a culture characterized by open communication and knowledge transfer between all stakeholders. Working closely with the Enterprise PMO and other PMO’s from functions such as Sales, R&D and Marketing, you contribute to a coordinated and collaborative setting that effectively utilizes resources and leverage the full capabilities within Sandvik Coromant.
The location is flexible and international travel is a natural part of the job.
You contribute to our success by:
Strong performance management
Challenging and engaging the organization
Generating a culture of open communication and knowledge sharing between our stakeholders
Strong persuasion and influencing skills that builds confidence in decision making
Being data driven
Your background and characteristics
For this position, we’re looking for someone with a management consultancy background and with several years’ experience from working in an industrial setting, preferably in a line management position. You have deep understanding of production on a strategic level and are experienced in both Lean and supply chains. You’re also a strong business developer, and previous experience from driving business transformation – including leading a digital journey - is very beneficial. To be successful in this position, you need to be highly skilled in performance program management, including the tools and methods used in this line of work. In addition, we see that you have an academic background relevant to this position, and as we act on a global scale, you have good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
We truly value the way you combine your analytical mind with a holistic and practical view - enabling you to understand the challenges we face and to set a direction that is beneficial for the entire organization. You’re a pragmatic problem-solver with excellent communication and motivation skills. You influence others and possess the courage to initiate change, and this means you get things done in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You easily get people and stakeholders onboard, and as you build confidence in visions, strategies and tactical decisions, you lead the organization towards a more sustainable and flexible way of working. Equally important is your genuine interest in, and the ability to, develop both teams and individuals to reach success.
For us, it’s clear that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a successful business environment, and we’re ready to welcome you to our team of brilliant minds!
