Are you someone who is able to create an overall perspective and see the complete picture while diving into details? We are now looking for a Portfolio Analyst who has good communication and analytical skills to join us in one of our Vattenfall IT locations at in Sweden, Germany, Poland or the Netherlands.
Vattenfall IT is the internal provider of IT infrastructure services for the entire Vattenfall Group. It is an international shared service center, providing IT services and support. Vattenfall IT Infrastructure supports Vattenfall by having professional people, knowledgeable in both business and IT, integrating services to enable business functions, providing a helicopter view of required services, utilizing the external market and enforcing standardization in order to optimize cost efficiency.

Your Job as Portfolio Analyst
Within the PPM (Project Portfolio Team), you are responsible for supporting BU/BA/SF managing their IT portfolio and IT in steering its own portfolio. This includes a strategic understanding of the portfolio, its KPI, financials and value drivers, as well as the tools where the portfolio information is stored. It also means performing health checks on the portfolio, identifying errors and supporting in rectifying issues in logging or maintaining the IT initiatives. You will be involved in the IT quality processes for projects and will take an active role in updating the IT Portfolio Management tools.
The position is within the Project and Portfolio Management team, which has the responsibility of bringing the Businesses and the IT community closer by building a common view and approach of how to execute, measure, and secure value creation from all IT-related investments within Vattenfall.
To succeed in this role, you have significant experience in facilitating meetings and you are structured, pedagogic and communicative. You are a team player with the ability to energize your team to reach your goals together.

Your tasks as Portfolio Analyst
Analytical tasks:
• You regularly screen the portfolio of your allocated BA/SF to check on completeness and quality of the data and on progress and content of the portfolio
• You prepare the quarterly IT portfolio reports for your allocated BA/SF and bring forward the most important points
• You conduct ad hoc analysis on specific topics either strategic (trends over several years, progress of certain KPIs) or hands-on (issues with time-writing or accruals)
• You contribute to quality processes at portfolio and program/project levels (Project Investment Assessment, Portfolio Health Check, Project Assurance Review) and support initiatives to improve quality of the IT portfolio data

Communication and support tasks
• You create and maintain a constructive dialogue with your allocated BA/SF, provide advice and help to their Portfolio Management resources, adapting to their specific BA while heralding Vattenfall principles and standards
• You support the BIO and Portfolio Managers in the yearly Business Planning Process
• You display good coordination skills across the various stakeholders, incl. Portfolio Managers, Business managers, BIO and VIT representatives (Controlling, Finance, SPOCs), as well as the rest of our PPM team
• You formulate diplomatic recommendations on portfolio setup and improvements, based on thorough knowledge of program/project/Agile lifecycles (in particular VPGP).
• You suggest and discuss continuous improvement both in the portfolio process and portfolio tools (Cat4, PowerBI dashboards, ad hoc reporting)

Your profile as Portfolio Analyst
Master degree or similar, preferably in Economics or IT-related topics
At least IPMA C knowledge/ certification or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in project management, of which minimum 3 years in responsible leadership
Knowledge and understanding of portfolio management (waterfall or Agile) is desirable
