Portfolio Analyst Volvo Personvagnars Pensionsstiftelse

Arbetsbeskrivning

Volvo Personvagnars Pensionsstiftelse (VPPS) is Volvo Cars’ Swedish pension trust, with about SEK 10 billion in assets under management. Matters relating to the trust are handled by a Board of Directors, appointed to an equal number by the employers who have allocated funds to the trust and the employee organizations of the employees whose employers are covered by the purpose of the trust.

The Board of Directors has delegated power to a Managing Director to decide over general day-to-day business matters of the trust. Through the trust’s Investment Policy, the Board of Directors also delegates power to a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to make decisions related to the management of the trust’s assets.

The Portfolio Analyst will belong to this small, specialized team managing the pension trust and its assets on a daily basis.

What you will do
As Portfolio Analyst for VPPS you will provide direct support to the CIO conducting the day to day management of the portfolio, investment and fund manager evaluations and monitoring of current fund managers. You will stay up to date about the macroeconomic environment and financial markets and, together with the team, assess and interpret complex financial information.

One of the most important tasks for the team is to continuously review the portfolio and ensure that the expected results of different asset classes are met. As part of the job you will be responsible for running quantitative analysis and the day-to-day risk management activities. You will monitor asset allocation on a daily basis, foreign exchange exposure, update systems and investigate and resolve data issues where appropriate. You will prepare trades, run limit checks and check and analyze fund performance.

You will also play an important role when it comes to creating documentation of high quality in which analysis, results and recommendations are clearly communicated. You will closely follow the ESG work of counterparties and support in keeping an open dialogue with them to ensure that the investments held by the VPPS are in line with the sustainability ambitions and demands of Volvo Cars. Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key.
