Portfolio and Application Manager- Fire and Security

My name is Stefan and I work as the of Head of System House Zone North. Me and my team in Zone North (I will tell you more about what that is) are looking for an Application Manager who will take the chance to become a part of our team at Siemens, Smart Infrastructure. 
 

Smart Infrastructure is a business unit of Siemens that provides safe and energy-efficient solutions for real estate. We offer integrated, digital and efficient system solutions and services in real estate automation, fire, security, energy management, as well as control solutions for heating, ventilation and cooling. 

The team in Zone North have the overall responsibility for how our solutions and products offerings can become better and more innovative within different solution areas, in this case Fire and Security. The team are stationed in the Nordic countries as well as Netherlands, UK and Ireland. As  an Application Manager you will be responsible for the development of the portfolio, to ensure competitive and profitable solutions optimized to reach our growth, profitability and market share ambition. During the coming years we see a transformation journey for the portfolio as several technology shifts which will impact the offerings. The Portfolio manager joining the team will be a key role to drive strategic initiatives to ensure the successful implementation of the portfolio. 

The position is preferably located in south of Sweden or London, United Kingdom. 

The job

As an Application Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and manage the commercial development of services and solutions within the Fire and Security portfolio. You will drive improvements of our solutions and products and work together with the Zone North team as well as stakeholders from the whole company to ensure we deliver the best products possible to our customers. You are also managing sales training and concepts to the sales and service organization in the portfolio and support with expert support of operations in selling issues (technical and commercial).

To succeed in the role it will be key to stay current with market trends and competition to ensure development of the portfolio on par with competition.

Responsibilities include

• Maintain a competitive commercial and strategic development plan for the portfolio on both short and long term

• Find and analyze trends to initiate product development and improvements

• Delivering key strategic initiatives to evolve the portfolio

• Responsible for sales activities for products within the portfolio

Who are you?

Your curiosity and drive is what separates you from the crowd. You are professional and business driven and have the ability to work with many people to achieve great things. To be successful in the role we believe you have a customer value mindset and 3-5 years of experience from working as am Application Manager and delivering projects in a technology-oriented environment, most likely with products and solutions for fire and security. Since this is a European role and we work in an international environment speaking and writing in English is a must. We also see it as a big plus if you have international experience.  

You have

• Experience within portfolio management and business development

• Experience of driving digital development projects

• Relevant academic education

• Understanding of packaging of product/services and solutions 

• Knowledge of Business case, calculation and budgeting

• Understanding of project and service processes
