Service Offer is a function within the European Service Market for Volvo bus; our job is to deliver premium customer experience and customer value through our service portfolio. The portfolio consists of Service contracts, Connected services and Uptime. We are a small team of experts developing, maintaining and launching services together with our markets. We now have an interesting opening as Portfolio and risk Manager for Service Contracts.


Role Description
Service contracts is one of the most important services we deliver to our customers in Volvo Buses. In some markets we are not able to sell vehicles if we can’t combine it with contract. The service contract portfolio has grown significantly over the past years to a point where every + - 1% in performance has a noticeable impact on the financial performance of the company. This is where you come into the picture.
We are looking for an analytical person who can develop the portfolio management and take it to the next level, identify contracts where the spending is more than initially calculated and take appropriate actions together with the markets. This puts requirements on both your analytical skills, ability to structure your work and (probably most important) communication skills and drive. You will interact with many parts of the company, from colleagues in the markets, central finance functions and various management teams etc.
Today the follow up is excel focused, that is something we would like to change over the course of the next year. If you are skilled in Power BI that would be beneficial. The time we save from making portfolio analysis more efficient we should invest in developing new and improved services for our customers.
Main areas of responsibility
Identify and analyze the risk in the service contract portfolio globally.
Main point of contact for the markets for the running portfolio.
Agree and follow up on actions to limit the risk together with the Business units and markets.
Secure a monthly reporting of the service contract portfolio for Business units and markets
Secure data quality and act as super user for contract claims systems.
Business Development



Your colleagues in the service contract team work with Strategy, business development & Technical Price. Together we form the European VBC Service Contract team where we support the markets outside Europe as well. We are a small team and we support each other.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role we believe you are structured and curious in developing the analytic models needed to have an efficient portfolio management. You have no problems handling large amount of data. You realize the importance of dealing with risk and uncertainties in a structured way. You are experienced in Power BI or similar tools and can lead the development in this area for service offer.
You have a university degree or significant experience in relevant area.
You see yourself as a team player and have no problem building your network to collect more and new information needed to perform your job.
We know we have just described a very broad skill set, and we don’t expect you to cover all of it from day one.
