Fortum’s core operations are located in the Nordics and consist of CO2-free power generation, electricity sales, district heating as well as recycling and waste solutions. We are in the process of reviewing our strategy in light of the changed operating environment.
Your role
We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join Fortums Energy Services unit within the Trading and Asset Optimization (TAO) business area at Solna United in Stockholm area.
Energy Services is responsible for handling Fortums customers consumption and production at Nord Pool. As the Nordic system gets more electrified and new renewables are being built, the need for their services is also increasing. They carry out the consumption and wind forecasting as well as optimization our customers portfolio of production.
In your role as Portfolio Manager you will work with processes and development in areas of forecasting and trading of consumption and renewables. You will be the expert in helping both the sales department as well as the client in a professional way. In addition you will take part in the operative work together with Fortums traders. You will also get to take part in cross-team development initiatives for example in enabling customer flexibility or implementing new market rules.

Your qualifications
We expect you to have a Master's degree in a relevant field together with a passion for electricity trading. You have at least five years of experience from the energy sector and especially from the Nordic physical power markets.
In order to succeed in this position you need to have strong analytical thinking, trading mind-set and a constant hunger for growing and learning new things. In addition to this you work well under stress and as we are a pan-Nordic team both written and spoken English is a prerequisite. It is an advantage if you master one of the Nordic languages as well.
