At Connectivity, within Volvo Group Trucks Technology, we are taking significant steps to support the shift towards a larger revenue share coming from services: in the light of new business models and the opportunities brought up by digitalization, we want to promote the creation of services that provide new revenue sources. We have embarked in this journey having 'digital and connected services' as a beacon, with the goal of promoting new services and strategies that get the most of our customers’ operations in terms of productivity, efficiency, and profitability, among others.
To further realize the Volvo Group’s ten-year vision of significant more focus on services, we need to strengthen our team with a Portfolio Manager, a person who leads the activities related to identification, definition and development of services in scope of a given portfolio.
What you will do
In this position you will be responsible for the technical and commercial realization of the service solutions. The overall mission of the Portfolio Manager Services is to define, support and facilitate the development and implementation of digital and connected services.
You will work close to other Portfolio Managers in the team as well as with various stakeholders in order to plan, perform and support analysis regarding feasibility, desirability and viability of business needs, safeguarding at each step a customer-centric mindset.
You, as Portfolio Manager Services, will be a major player in steering and prioritizing high-level business needs and descriptions (epics). You will provide, update and follow up your roadmaps, proving the leadership for facilitating the dialogue towards value-creating solutions.
You will act as key technical stakeholder for enabler and solution requirements which are necessary to render an incremental service realization based on several product platforms. You will have the responsibility of visualizing a prioritized service backlog and synchronizing between internal and external stakeholders, thus safeguarding dependencies with other teams, ARTs and organizations.
As this is a dynamic journey towards “more of services”, you will take initiatives and drive improved ways of working in order to get maximum leverage. You will pro-actively identify and create action plans, communicate impact, and define risk-mitigating activities, by that securing the complete End-to-End delivery of a given service.
In this position you will report to the Global Technology Manager of Systems & Verification and you will also be part of its corresponding Management Team.

We expect that you have proven track record in product and/or service development with center of gravity in system and embedded software development, at least ten years. Demonstrated leadership of technical teams is essential for this role, thereby we expect that you have at least eight years of experience in project management or similar roles.
Experience from commercial-vehicle transportation is very advantageous as understanding of customer’s needs is central in this position. You have good knowledge of Design Thinking and Lean Start-up methodologies, with ability to further develop yourself.
Applicants shall have a M.Sc. degree in Engineering or similar.
