Post-doc

RISE Surface, Process and Formulation is a new unit within RISE with about 110 employees. The unit consists of four sections, Analytical Development, Material and Process Development, Formulation Development and Surface and Process Chemistry based in Stockholm, Södertälje and Lund. All four sections work with research and development within chemistry, surface chemistry, materials, process development, pharmaceuticals, cleaning as well as human perception.

RISE has worked in and developed the area of perception and perception delivery for over ten years. This includes the deliberate control, delivery and prediction of the perceptual and sensory response to a product, device or material. This is a multidisciplinary field that involves both control of the surface/material (physics) and the perceptual response (psychology). We are now looking for a post-doc to further advance in this field in an industry financed project. The position is based in Stockholm but some time will be spent at the companies.

You have a PhD in chemistry, e.g. physical chemistry, surfaces chemistry, polymer chemistry, material science or similar. Good laboratory skills are required and experience in surface analysis is an advantage. You are used to reporting in English and it is an advantage if you also master Swedish. As a post-doc you are expected to drive the experimental work in joint consultation with the other experts in the project towards the project goals. You are enterprising, communicative, possess good organization and team skills. An interest in communication about touch will be an advantage.

The post-doc position is for 18 months with start in February 2018. The position is based in Stockholm.
