2 year Post-Doc position - Department of Neurophysiology Department Research Description The Department of Neurophysiology is looking for a Post-Doc to support Lundbeck s contribution to PharmaCog/European ADNI studies.This is an innovative EU project that aims at identifying novel biomarkers within Alzheimer?s disease.The Department of Neurophysiology at Lundbeck is engaged in various phases of drug discovery with focus on validating novel targets, performing mechanistic in vivo studies of potential development compounds and establishing translational methods by using micro dialysis and in vivo electrophysiological techniques.Your job You will be part of a high performance research team and your main tasks will be to run electroencephalography (EEG) studies in transgenic mice carrying familiar mutations that cause Alzheimers disease.The studies will be a part of a collaborative EU research project between industry and academia where you will be expected to be a dynamic project member.The project will require that you spend 3-6 months in laboratories outside Denmark.Qualifications Our preferred candidate has the following profile: - You have a PhD degree in biological sciences - You have experience in one or more disciplines of neuropharmacology, animal models of CNS diseases or behavioural models - You have detailed knowledge on transgenic models for Alzheimer disease in rodents - You have hands-on experience with EEG in rodents.- Qualification and technical trouble shooting of scientific equipment.
